You’ll also have the chance to climb Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, and explore the iconic scenery of Glencoe and Black Mount. ⛰️

ℹ️ Most hikes follow clear paths. Good equipment and confidence on rough terrain are recommended for maximum enjoyment. Daily hiking durations are listed below in the itinerary.
All main hikes are led by your experienced hiking guide. 🙋🏻‍♂️
If you prefer a more relaxed pace, there is always an option for an easier hike – your guide will provide helpful tips and directions. This can be decided flexibly each day. 😊

West Highland Way

Day 1: Overnight in Tyndrum area

Ready for your first hike? 🥾
You take it easy today, starting with a scenic walk along the West Highland Way. 🏞️
This long-distance trail runs 154 km across the Highlands, past Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest peak – which we aim to summit on this tour.
Enjoy wide open views, clan history, and natural beauty – the perfect introduction to the Highlands. 🤩

Military Road or Black Mount Ascent

Day 2: Overnight in Tyndrum area

Today you have a choice: a 4–5 hour hike along a gently rolling 17th-century military road, or a more challenging 8-hour ascent of Black Mount, with around 950 meters of elevation gain. ⛰️
From the summit, the panoramic views are truly rewarding.

West Highland Railway & Rannoch Moor

Day 3: Overnight in Fort William area

Today’s adventure begins with a romantic ride on the West Highland Railway Line from Bridge of Orchy to Rannoch Station. 🚂
From here, you hike across the vast Rannoch Moor towards Glencoe Pass – one of Europe’s last truly untouched wilderness areas. 🌳
You continue past remote lochs and white sand shores, perfect for a quiet picnic.
After 6–7 hours of hiking (approx. 22 km), you travel onward by coach to our hotel in Fort William. 🥾
Alternatively, you’ll explore the spectacular trail from Altnafeadh to Kinlochleven – considered one of the most beautiful sections of the West Highland Way. This unforgettable route features dramatic mountain scenery, sweeping views of lochs, and a pure Highland experience. 🏞️

Ben Nevis or Glen Nevis Valley

Day 4: Overnight in Fort William area

Today you reach new heights – Ben Nevis (1,343 m), the tallest mountain in the UK! 🏔️
The 7-hour hike (17 km) offers spectacular views all the way to the summit. 🤩
Weather permitting, you may even see the Hebrides in the distance. ☀️👀
If you prefer a gentler option, explore Glen Nevis, a breathtaking valley with ancient forests and dramatic waterfalls – filming location for Harry Potter, Highlander, and Rob Roy.

Day 5: Overnight in Fort William area

Are you ready for our last hiking day? You follow the final stage of the West Highland Way through stunning Highland valleys.
Today’s hike is approx. 6 hours / 22 km from Glen Nevis to Kinlochleven. ☀️
Want something shorter? Take the 12 km / 3-hour option from Loch Lundavra to Kinlochleven. 🏞️

Scenic Drive to Edinburgh

Day 6: Overnight in Edinburgh area

After this active week, you enjoy a relaxed day on the road. 🚌 On your way back to Edinburgh, you travel through the Great Glen.
No Scottish journey would be complete without a whisky distillery tour, including a tasting. 🥃
In the late afternoon, you arrive in Edinburgh, where you take a short city tour. 🌇
